Marketing and Community Host for the next generation news service
We are looking for a Marketing & Community Host to be a key member of the team dedicated to bringing civic affairs and analysis to Honolulu and Hawaii in a commercially sustainable way. You will play an integral role in: (1) marketing and publicizing our service to the public, (2) developing our community, (3) interacting with our customers, and (4) cultivating local business relationships. In doing so, you will work closely with our entrepreneurial management team with experience in building companies & online communities, and a track record of producing quality journalism.
If you are a marketing whiz with a knack for interacting with customers and building online communities, we want to talk to you.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to creatively and effectively market consumer products/services. Excellent communication skills and a passion for actively participating in online communities is a must. You need to be able to see the big picture but also get things done, pay attention to the details, and execute flawlessly. Being able to thrive in a fast-moving, rapidly-changing environment is essential. Of course, the ideal candidate is also enthusiastic, listens well, and can be both a leader and team player.
